Some of our current and future activities.
Encontros Concert Series
Encontros is a free classical music series held at Igreja das Chagas, in the heart of Chiado. The 2026-2027 season is already underway, with 15 concerts featuring varied repertoire and a wide range of performers. Each concert brings performers and audiences together in an intimate setting, creating a sense of belonging around live music that is open to everyone, regardless of background or means. Since its inauguration, Encontros has featured a Steinway Model B loaned to the association, and welcomes both seasoned concertgoers and newcomers alike.
Harmony of Belonging
Combating social isolation among the senior population. Lisbon is an aging city, and loneliness is a silence that needs to be broken. The "Harmony of Belonging" project brings concert music to elderly populations at risk of isolation. More than a simple performance, we create moments of social interaction and sharing, where music serves as an emotional bond, stimulating memory, well-being, and a sense of community. Because no one should be left alone in the audience of life.
Future in a Major Chord
Youth and Education. We believe that talent should have no barriers. This program is dedicated to supporting young musicians at the beginning of their journey, offering mentorships with our associated musicians and performance opportunities alongside professionals. "Future in a Major Chord" is our investment in the next generations, ensuring that classical music continues to resonate with vitality and hope.
Horizonte Artes
Under the umbrella of the Horizonte Musical nonprofit association, Horizonte Artes focuses on discovering, nurturing, connecting and showcasing local visual artists in Lisbon. Through the program, the association participates actively in the Lisbon art community to support visual art across all mediums.
